Brain serotonin 2A receptor binding: Relations to body mass index, tobacco and alcohol use reports a positron emission tomography molecular neuroimaging study with the altanserin radioligand. The neuroimaging signal is correlated with body mass index, tobacco and alcohol use as well as in a neuroimaging genetics investigation with the polymorphism rs6311.

There is a corrigendum to the article,[1] and the work was previously presented in abstract form at The Sixth International Symposium on Neuroreceptor Mapping.[2]

Group 1 of 136 adults were included in the study. The Danish group had a mean age of 40.5. The study on the human subjects was approved by the Copenhagen Ethics Committe. The 136 subjects overlap with a number of other subject groups from several papers of the research group.

[edit] Results

Table 1 has regression coefficient for body mass index against binding in 13 different brain regions.
