Databases:

Group 1 of 11 right-handed healthy with 6 males and 5 females were included in the study. The Brazilian group had a mean age of 32.4 with a range from 21 to 50. The study on the human subjects was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Universidade de São Paulo Medical School.

Subjects were healthy with no "current or previous history of neurological and/or general medical conditsions".

[edit] Results

For details of the analysis the authors reference a methodological paper of Bullmore,[1] and they writes that the neuroimages were "spatially normalized to Talairach standard space".

  1. It is not clear what brain template was used for the spatial normalization.
  2. It is not clear whether the cluster p-value was corrected or uncorrected across voxels. The issue might be resolved by reading the cited Bullmore paper.
  3. There is an Brodmann labeling error: The 5th coordinate reads "BA66/37" in the manuscript.
