Karl J. Friston is a neuroimaging researcher. He is scientific director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at Queen Square, London, United Kingdom. He has been central in the development of the SPM program.

Among his long time collaborators are Richard Frackowiak and John Ashburner.
