Serotonin 5-HT2A receptor gene polymorphism, 5-HT2A receptor function and personality traits in healthy subjects: a negative study reports a personality genetics study on the serotonin-2A receptor gene with the Temperament and Character Inventory.

The study examined five genetic polymorphisms in 133 subjects:

  1. A-1438G
  2. T102C
  3. T516C, the C allele was not observed
  4. C1340T, the T allele was only found in one chromosome
  5. C1354, the T allele was not observed.

A-1438G and T102C were in full linkage, so only one polymorphism was reported.

Apart from the main traits of the Temperament and Character Inventory also the subscales were reported.
